Old Governments Building

The Old Government Building (OGB) was originally constructed between 1911 and 1913. During the 1990’s we were involved with the conversion of this old building into suites for the Heritage Hotel.

Following the Canterbury earthquakes, extensive repairs were carried out to both the interior and exterior over a 12 month period with a workforce of up to 70 personnel.

All repairs meet the provisions of the Historic Places Trust and as such were carried out in such a manner as to retain the historic fabric of the building as much as possible.

This 100 year old building is now structurally repaired and restored to its former very high standard.
