Limestone mouldings were re-carved and repaired with spliced in profiles and the brick work re-pointed with red oxide mortar restoring the façade to its original grandeur richly expressing its materials. The restored theatre façade is more than ever a significant part of the city scape and the theatre is again a pre-eminent cultural centre in the city.
